| #41: Use Oscilloscope Z-axis input to create "marker" on waveform
This video shows one possible use of the Z-axis input on an analog oscilloscope. The "A-Gate" output and the Z-Axis input are used along with a simple circuit to create a "marker" that can be moved across the waveform on the screen. This is shown as one example of how two of the rear-panel auxiliary connectors on many popular analog oscilloscopes can be used for some fun and interesting applications. The marker is created with two general purpose NPN transistors and a pair of '555 timer chips, but really could be implemented any number of ways.
